The Landings Drama and Theatre Association

Previous Experience and Talent are NOT Required
...Just Your Interest and Participation!

The Landings is a community with almost 9000 residents. It hosts over 60 organizations, but none of them devoted to drama or the theatre... until now. The Landings Drama and Theatre Association has been organized to fill the void in the spectrum of cultural activities available to Landings residents.

The Association is now in its formative phase. The Landings has partnered with the Savannah Community Theatre to form this association. Most of you are aware of the Savannah Community Theatre for the productions it has staged both in the Savannah community as well as here at the Plantation Club. Tom Coleman is the producer and director.

While the initial focus is on acting, the scope of activities that The Association intends to eventually support, is large:

  • reading and discussing plays
  • performing
  • acting, both drama and comedy
  • musicals, both solo and choral
  • improvisation
  • theatre production
  • backstage support
  • administrative activities

The priorities for development will be determined by the preferences of the group.

Meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at the Plantation Club. Since materials are provided and the room needs to be set up to seat the participants, new attendees are encouraged to respond to Tom Coleman by calling him at 912-247-4644. All ages are welcome.

Our next production of the season is "Shirley Valentine", a touching and funny play by Willy Russell -- March 6 and 7 at The Plantation Club. Call now for information!
